Venetian style glass trade bead necklace strung with black feather beads and polychrome eye beads. A bold African trade bead strand for collectors and anyone drawn to tribal and boho jewelry.
The large barrel beads are decorated with red and white combed "feather" patterning over black glass — a pattern drawn by hand while the glass is still hot, which is why every bead falls slightly differently. Between them sit round eye beads in pale blue and soft green, each ringed with concentric red, white and blue dots, plus small opaque spacers in yellow, brick, cobalt, green and brown. A gold-tone toggle clasp keeps it easy to put on.
