Bold tribal bead necklace of large black barrel beads banded in red and white, spaced with small amethyst-purple glass rondelles. A weighty, earthy strand for collectors and anyone who likes their jewelry with some texture to it.
Each bead carries two or three wavy bands drawn by hand, so no two line up the same way — some run straight, some dip and wander around the body. The black surface is matte and finely pitted rather than glossy, which is what gives the strand its aged, unfussy character. The little purple rondelles between them catch the light and keep the heavier beads from crowding each other.
