A full strand of turquoise blue glass melon beads with deep carved fluting and a dark green-brown patina settled into the grooves. Strung on the original wool cord.
The colour is strong and even across the strand, and the aged surface gives each bead a matte, soft finish rather than a glassy shine. Sizeable beads — see the ruler photo for scale against inches and centimetres.
